Pittsburgh Academy of Implantology and ZimVie were proud to host another outstanding continuing education event for our local dental community on Thursday.
Dr. Bruce Ouellette on strategies to improve case acceptance.
This lecture was made possible with the generous support of our sponsor, ZimVie, and featured an excellent presentation by Dr. Bruce Ouellette on strategies to improve case acceptance. Dr. Ouellette shared practical, real-world insights that referring dentists can immediately apply in their practices to better communicate value, build trust, and guide patients toward appropriate treatment decisions.
Through programs like these, the PAI continues to provide meaningful educational opportunities that support collaboration and growth among referring dentists. North Pittsburgh Oral Surgery is grateful to support these efforts and to be part of a community that values education, partnership, and high-quality patient care.

Cybersecurity Essentials for Dental Practices” by Gary Salmon, CEO of Black Talon Security (BTS).
The purpose of PAI is to connect general practitioners, owner doctors, and operations leaders with subject matter experts on varying topics. Topics surrounding Implants, Medical Emergency Readiness, Credentialing, and Revenue Cycle Management, to name a few.We typically host 2-4 continuing education courses throughout the year. Starting in September and wrapping up in March, they have, at times, included CPR certification based on needs. Our most recent PAI event was held on Monday, September 8, at ShuBrew in Zelionople, PA. We had the pleasure of listening to a presentation on “Cybersecurity Essentials for Dental Practices” by Gary Salmon, CEO of Black Talon Security (BTS).Black Talon Security is a dedicated cybersecurity company that goes beyond traditional IT measures to protect your organization against cyberthreats. They have highly credentialed security engineers who lend expertise to properly assess and address the ongoing risk levels within your business, lessening the potential of a ransomware attack or data breach.Gary’s presentation was insightful and added so much value to today’s topics. I think we all knew that cybersecurity was essential, but I didn’t fully understand its magnitude until the end of this presentation. It’s no longer optional in business. Considering some of the recent events and threats, we are grateful to have them in our corner.Gary, thank you for taking the time to meet and present at our event. We are very grateful. We all had a lot of fun! Thank you, Black Talon, for being on our team! Shoutout to ShuBrew for hosting this event and ensuring we had excellent food and service throughout.
